I wanted to give everyone a peek at my underpaper, at least a previous sheet of my underpaper. As you can see, it can carry a lot of different marks, from paint, sprays, stamps, and pens or markers.
As you can also see, I had my palette knife nearby. I use my palette knife for several things, including spreading
gesso, mixing paint colors and/or mediums together, and swiping paint or mediums through stencils. My current underpaper looks different and that's what make it so unique. Also, you can see a tool I used quite frequently. For those of you not familiar with it, it's called a palette knife. There's several different shapes, and designs. I have at least three, and they're all plastic. One issue I run into, which isn't really an issue, if the buildup. As you use them they hold onto remnants of whatever mediums you use them with, meaning paint, gel, texture paste, etc. I really love the color combinations that build up on the palette knives, so I don't want to use the knife for the project I'm currently working on. I try to keep a camera ready to take pictures to remember the colors so I can use it to see another combination after more crafting.
I wanted to give a small list of items you can look for, including palette knife sets.
